Please note that Suite360 Prevention is currently only available for schools and districts in Florida
Suite360 Prevention for K-5 students is comprised of two lessons. One lesson addresses child trafficking prevention and one lesson addresses substance abuse prevention.
The Suite360 Prevention program deals with EXTREMELY sensitive topics. Each lesson was intended specifically for the grade level that it was created for. We STRONGLY recommend that schools only use the lessons with the appropriate grade when using this program.
These lessons are separate from other lessons in our content library and are found under the Mental Health heading.
Please note that if your school has multiple programs, you may have multiple Lesson Libraries. Please ensure you use the Mental Health lesson library
Once you have selected the lesson library, you will then filter using the advanced search feature:
Select curriculum from the left most drop down:
Then select Suite360 Prevention from the right dropdown:
Click the Green "Apply" button:
You have now filtered the lesson library down to the Prevention lessons. At this point, you can find the lessons you want to assign. Each prevention lesson title begins with the grade that it is appropriate for. Each lesson should be in its own assignment, so for a standard K-5 school, you will assign a total of 12 assignments (two per grade level). To assign a lesson, click on the assign button:
You will then see the "Assignment" screen at the top of the page:
Note: if you don't see the assignment screen, then you may need to scroll up to the top of the page.
Now fill out the assignment information:
Please note that if you do assign lessons by GRADE, you DO NOT NEED TO ASSIGN THEM BY CLASS
- Set the Assignment Title as whatever makes sense for your school. For most schools we recommend "Grade ___ Lesson Title Date," so a child trafficking assignment for first graders in the school year 2019/2020 would be "Grade 1 Child Trafficking 2019/2020"
- Set the audience of the assignment. We STRONGLY recommend that schools assign it by grade rather than class
- Determine if you want the students to redo the lesson if they fail the post test. We recommend that this be marked as "No" when doing the lesson with a whole class.
- Set the start and end dates. We recommend that you provide students with a large window of time to complete the assignment rather than a shorter amount of time
Once complete, click on the save and assign button at the bottom of the assign screen:
Once you are finished, you can now repeat the process for the rest of the lessons that are required!
